OpenAI's self-serve ads platform is now open to all US advertisers with no minimum spend (May 5, 2026). It launched in January at a $250K minimum, dropped to $50K in April, and removed the floor entirely in May โ moving fast toward SMB access. CPC bidding, conversion tracking, and a pixel are now live. Agency partners include Dentsu, Omnicom, Publicis, and WPP. This is no longer a distant enterprise product โ it's becoming a real ad channel that SMBs will encounter.
Meta's Ads AI Connectors launched in open beta (April 29, 2026). Advertisers can now create, manage, and analyze Meta campaigns using ChatGPT, Claude, or any MCP-compatible AI tool โ no API setup or coding required. As of May, early testers are actively using it for campaign reads and reporting, though write actions (creating/pausing ads) go live immediately with no safety net.
